The MIT Sloan African Business Club is pleased to present its annual Africa Business conference themed “Africa Innovate Conference: Sharing Ideals, Sparking Innovation.” The conference intends to bring together people working on ideas that will shape the African continent for years to come. The unifying theme will be a perspective on how today’s students and tomorrow’s leaders will impact the continent by putting ideas to work. Speakers and participants will explore areas of innovation through Ignite-Style speeches, and four topic-specific “deep dive” panels (China/India in Africa, Mobile & Tech, Media & Entertainment, Agri-Business). This energizing, inspirational day will end with MIT’s greater strength: a business plan competition that will allow participants to meet great mentors and potential investors. This event is scheduled for the 14th of April 2012 on the 6th floor of Building E14 MIT Media Lab.
