Impact provides comprehensive networking assistance, media exposure, and the prospect of investment capital. Through focusing on emerging economies and sustainable development, Impact is a catalyst for innovation.

This year’s session starts in September first with the mentorship period followed by university and media tour, then an investment tour. During the first 5 weeks in Shanghai, Impact participants will receive one-to-one mentorship and guidance from an international panel of social entrepreneurs and change makers. Each of them will work alongside the participants during their time here providing their knowledge, skills, experience, and networks to help develop the participant’s ventures.

Impact mentors will fall within three main categories:

  • Successful and established business leaders and sustainable entrepreneurs. These are the individuals with the first-hand knowledge of what it takes to launch, run, and maintain an effective organisation.
  • Venture capitalists, angel investors, and private equity investment managers. Quite simply, the individuals and organisations with the skills and network to raise capital investment and financial support.
  • Academics and brilliant minds. Professors, researchers, and leading minds in the realm of environmental sustainability, extreme affordability, ethnography, and economic development.

Workshops and skill-training classes will also be offered by a wide range of business consultants and industry professionals providing the participants with services related to, but not limited to: law; accounting; marketing and communication; web designers; human resources specialists; and financial advisers.
